Over the week 186 persons were killed in Punjab.
Nine militants were also arrested with arms and ammunition in the state during this period.
Two Sevadars of Gurdwara Dera Baba Barbhag Singh were taken out and killed near Bhagivand village of Bathinda district. Govt controlled ‘Black Cats’ forcibly took Bant Singh, brother of the Gurdwara Granthi and another person Kaka Singh, out of the Gurdwara and shot them dead.
Four militants and a home guard were among 20 people killed while six militants were arrested July 21.
A home guard was killed and three other policemen wounded when militants opened fire at the Maloya village police post bordering Punjab here Sunday night.

The militants killed included Bhindranwale Tigers Force of Khalistan (Mano chahal), who carried a reward of Rs.5 lakh on his head, and two area commanders of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF).
A report from the holy city of Amritsar said the bullet-ridden body of Mehtab Singh alias Nammialias Ravail Singh was found near Fettupecla village in Amritsar district Saturday.
Mehtab Singh, a category “a” militant of the BTFK, was wanted in about 200 cases in Beas, Mehta, Majitha and Kathunangal areas of Majitha police district, senior police officials said. The Patiala police arrested Baldev Singh, a personal cook of Akali Dal (Mann) president, Simranjit Singh Mann on the charge of harboring militants.
Senior superintendent of police S K Sharma told newsmen that Baldev Singh admitted during interrogations that a number of hardcore militants and some private gunmen of Mann used to come and stay in the servant quarters of Mann’s house.

Plot to Kill Seshan denied
The Punjab Police denied as “baseless and a figment of imagination” a report in a section of the Press, that a plot to assassinate the Chief Election Commissioner T.N ,Seshan had been uncovered following the arrest of two Babbar Khalsa militants recently. None of the arrested militants had made such a disclosure, the Punjab Police clarified in a release.
Santokh Singh and Niranjan Singh, were killed at Qabar Wala village in Faridkot district on Thursday night.
While escaping the militants kidnapped one Balwant Singh from the same village.

An unidentified militant was shot dead by security forces in an encounter near Bhiwani village in Ropar district. A 303 rifle and some rounds of ammunition were found near his body.
An unidentified man committed suicide by cutting his abdomen when covered by villagers at Dhilwan Wala village in Faridkot district on Thursday evening, His three accomplices escaped.
