HYDERABAD: National Front chairman NT Rama Rao Tuesday broke his six-day-old silent fast addressed public meetings and vowed to struggle till his three just demands were met .
The saffron clad Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo who was forcibly given intravenous fluids by doctor sat the Nizam’s institute of medical sciences (NIMS) Tuesday morning left the hospital against medical advice atop his Chaitanya Ratham for his residence.
Enroute Rama Rao addressed two public meetings Immediately after receiving medication Rama Rao broke his silence and told newsmen that they might have stopped my Dhiksha (resolve) | am pained at the disruption but the issues are not resolved they will become further explosive until social justice is rendered by this government.
His demands include immediate arrest of the culprits allegedly including some Cong-I legislators and enquiry into the violence by a sitting Supreme Court judge.
Even as their leader was observing a fast a five-member National Front team led by the Janata Dal president Mr S R Bommai went round effected areas in the city to assess the damage. The team also talked to riot victims.
Meanwhile the state chief minister Mr N Janaradhana Reddy while talking to newsmen here indicated that he was not averse to writing to the chief justice of India to appoint a judge to probe the incidents. The TDP has been demanding probe by a sitting Supreme Court judge. Without naming the opposition parties he charged that some people were deliberately trying to exploit the Situation for vote catching.
