MISSISSAUGA ONT: The Metro Punjabi Sports and Cultural Club of Rexdale is organizing a international Kabbadi tournament Aug 10 at the University of Toronto grounds.
Invitations to participate have been sent to India Pakistan US AND England. Several Canadian teams are expected to take part.
Named the Canada Cup Tournament the trophy will be a $5000 gold plated cup. The tournament costs (approx. $64000) will be raised from local businesses. There will be a $5 admission fee for adults. The money so collected will be used solely for the promotion of the sport and Punjabi culture.
