LONDON: The Pakistan based Kashmiri militants now plan to attack the Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir as they believe the “break-up” of India is imminent” according to a report from Islamabad carried by The Independent.
They as well as “sources close to the Sikh militants” in Pakistan predict India is heading fro chaos and break-up and that the Indian Army will ultimately be forced to declare martial law. Militants will ultimately be forced to declare martial law Militants said they would continue to kidnap foreigners in Kashmir and hold them in safe protective custody to highlight the lack of international concern over human rights violations in Kashmir.
Even as Kashmiri militants say the political crisis in India is a golden opportunity to intensify their guerilla war the Pakistani army has told the Indian Army that it can deploy troops out of Kashmir to maintain law and order in Indian cities as Pakistan has no wish to create problems for India on the Kashmir border.
The report said since Mr Rajiv Gandhi’s death shelling between the two armies on the Kashmir border has virtually ceased. For Pakistan Mr Gandhi’s death is a decisive moment and a watershed in its 40-year conflict with India. The Nehru dynasty has been decimated.
