ALLAHABAD: Repoll has been ordered in 41 polling booths in the historic northern Indian city of Allahabad following incidents of booth capturing during Monday’s polls held for three parliamentary and 14 state assembly seats here.
District magistrate Subhas Kumar Tuesday said repolling will be held in ten booths in Handia five in Jhusi five in Pratappur Eighti in Nawabganj one in Meja four in Karchana three in Bara and five in Chail.
The date for repolling will be announced after confirmation from the election commission he said.
Earlier the repoll was fixed for Wednesday.
