LONDON: India has expressed concern over reports that protagonists of Khalistan are raising Massive funds in view of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.
According to one report more than 100000 pounds were collected on the spot by Jagjit Singh Chohan at a one-day “International Sikh Convention” in Slough near London Sunday.
Similar campaigns have been launched by other Sikh outfits Operating in Britain The Akhand Kirmi Jatha organised a three-day “Shaheedi Divas” in Laminghton from April 25 and the Khalistan government -in-exile and Babbar Khalsa held an International Conference earlier this month.
The Indian High Commission has been consistently drawing the British government’s attention to the reported funding of Punjab militants from the Gurdwara’s in the UK.
