JALANDHAR: The All India Sikh Students Federation (Manjit) was declared a political organisation on April 13.
The decision to this effect was made at a five member panthic committee meeting presided over by Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal, in a press release here. Baba Manochahal said that late Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale had formed the AISSF under the president ship of Bhai Amrik Singh as a political organisation. Now the time had come when some organisation of Sikhs should emerge so that aims and objectives of Sant Bhindranwale are achieved.
The panthic committee directed Bhai Manjit Singh, president of the AISSF to keep watch on the changing political situation in the state and give lead to the Sikh masses.
