NEW DELHI: Sikh militants have sent “feelers and signals” for talks with New Delhi the minister of state for home Subodh Kant Sahay said on Saturday reports PTI.

Sahay told reporters “good signals” had been received from various channels from two militant Panthic Committees and the government was hopeful of having concrete offers during the next two to three weeks.

“It seems to have gone down to the militants that this is the most opportune moment to have talks with Chandra Shekhar at the helm of affairs” the minister said.

Sahay has already offered “safe passage” to militants fighting of a separate homeland wanting to hold talks with the center on the Punjab problem.
