JALANDHAR: Leaders of the CPM CPI and BJP have joined hands with Congress I to support the Punjab Govt measures to gag the press
In a joint statement Mr Beant Singh Dr Baldev Prakash Mr Satyapal Dang and Mr Mangat Ram said that the very of press freedom in danger raised by certain persons in Punjab was misconceived They said certain newspapers had become virtual mouthpieces of the militants and were Spreading terror. If militancy were to be controlled the objectionable material being published by these Papers must stop the statement added.
