These cases were sent to the directorate of prosecutions last week and are if the process of being filed in the special courts concerned.
Delhi administration also wrote to the police on Feb 19 to register 13 cases and reinvestigate one on the basis of the second batch of recommendations. It is still processing the third and fourth batches submitted last month. Each of these batches covers 12 affidavits from the victims. The panel is going through 900 cases.
The Govt decision to create the special cell is also on the advice of the Jain Bannerji Panel. The crime branch could not deal expeditiously with such cases as it was already overburdened.
