MADRAS: Newly-appointed Tamil Nadu governor Ishma Narain Singh said here Friday that one of his first priorities would be to see that the political process takes place in the state by holding assembly elections as soon as possible.
Seeking the cooperation of all sections of people for the rapid economic development of the state so that Tamil Nadu became the most prosperous state in the country Singh said for development peace was a pre-requisite
Peace and development go hand in hand he said while talking to reporter’s minutes after he was sworn-in as the 14th governor of the state.
He said he would sincerely serve the people and for the welfare of the state to the best of his ability.
Asked whether he meant that there was no peace in Tamil Nadu Now Bhishma Narain Singh said I do not mean that way.
