The BJP expressed its determination to provide an alternative political culture and rededicated itself to make the country great and strong in the comity of nations.

A political resolution adopted on the concluding day of the three day fifth plenary session here the BJP also charged the Chandra Shekhar government and all the previous governments with succumbing to separatist pressures which was pushing the country to the brink of disaster.

The resolution also criticised the government for its weak-kneed policies in Jammu and Kashmir Adhochism in Punjab and expressed concern over the deteriorates the deteriorating situation particularly in Assam Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh a and other northern eastern states.

it was singularly unfortunate that in the name of secularism most political parties were pursuing policies that were creating fissures in society the resolution said adding the polity was being destablised and public life debased and devalued all along the line.

The upshot of all this was that we have today an unholy political combination of miniscule government headed by a surrogated and backed by those who are specifically rejected by the electorate.

In this desert of instability and opportunism the resolution said the BJP was the only oasis.

An action plan prepared by a 11-member working group headed by Sunder Singh Bhandari was also placed in the plenary. The plan has proposed that BJP should set up a shadow cabinet and an international wing besides taking steps to broaden the party base by strengthening it at all levels to emerge as first party in the land.

The political resolution asked the Chandra Shekhar government to justify its action of imposing president’s rule in Tamil Nadu by ending Sri Lankan rebel activities in the state.

The BJP also demanded an inquiry by sitting judges into the activities of Mulayam Singh ministry in Uttar Pradesh. It said the U.P. government deserved to be dismissed for massacring innocent people in Ayodhya on October 30 and November 2.
