NEW DELHI: Two persons were killed and 28 injured when 14 bogies of the Delhi-bound Dakshin Express derailed following a bomb blast near Sirpur town in southern Andhra Pradesh state early Wednesday morning.

Two of the injured were reported to be serious.

The train coming from Hyderabad derailed between Vempallin and Sirpur town due to uprooting of a rail in timed bomb blast official sources said.

Following the accident the rail traffic on the up line was disrupted and restoration work and relief Operation was on the sources said.

Senior railway officials including the general manager of central railway have rushed to the Spot.
