LUCKNOW: At least 12 people were killed and 30 injured in four bomb explosions in the capital of the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh Friday night police said here of the injured 22 were stated to be in a serious condition.

All the four blasts two in the railway station area one in Udaiganj area and one in a nearby locality of the city occurred within a distance of two to three kms.

The two explosions in the railway station area claimed five lives police said.

However an official spokesman said the situation in the city was under control.
