NEW DELHI: The president elect of the BJP Murali Manohar Joshi called for a presidential form of government to help and political weaknesses and instability in the country.
The present system has created instability and political parties appeared to have got bogged down Joshi said in an interview to Panchjanya weekly
He stressed the need for a uniform civil code (India has separate personal laws for all communities) by setting up a commission besides a national population policy in the greater national interest.
A study team had already been constituted to draft an action programme fixing priority for the party Joshi said adding his party would continue to bolster its strength in the state assemblies and Lok Sabha
