DHAKA: The Bangladesh election commission Jan 14 cancelled all the five nomination papers filed by ousted Bangladesh president General Ershad from his hometown Rangpur for the February 27 parliamentary polls.
General Ershad’s nomination papers were cancelled because of technical irregularities, election commission sources said. The papers were not routed through proper channels as they ‘Were not cleared by the home ministry the sources said.
