TORONTO: Opposition politicians are demanding an investigation into how and why the wife of Somali worked Muhammad Faoah aided has been able to collect welfare in Ontario and offered a 82,000 airline ticket to Somalia. “Ata time when every tax dollar is precious, these kinds of stories make people’s blood boil,” Liberal MPP Elinor Caplan said. Ontario social Services minister Tony Silipo said confidentiality requirements prevented his from commenting on the specifies of any one case he added, outside the legislature, the government is examining rules that allow people on welfare to collect benefits while abroad, under certain circumstances.
