SRINAGAR: Nine People were killed when they fell into a well in a stampede near a mosque after security forces opened fire following. A militant triggered landmine explosion in Kanjinag village in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. One person died in the firing.
In another incident, 10 people, including five militants, were killed when security forces fired on a minibus after they came under attack from militants near Bandi pora in North Kashmir last week.
Official sources said about 1,000 villagers who had assembled at the Kanjinag mosque to offer Friday prayers ran for safety when the security forces opened fire after militants detonated a landmine in which six security men were injured.
