KHARAR: The Panthic Committee will participate in the ensuing Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC) and the Punjab Vidhan Sabha polls. This was disclosed by Sohan Singh, chief of the Panthic Committee, he said that first of all he would arrange to register the Panthic Committee as a political party with the Election Commission.
However, he said that the Panthic Committee would not contest all the seats of the SGPC and the Vidhan Sabha. At present, the Panthic Committee had no funds, he added. The Panthic Committee chief further said that the decision of the Akalis to boycott the Punjab Assembly polls held in 1992 was totally wrong due to which they lost their identity.
