PETERSBOROUGH: A man who shouted an obscene racist slurat another man outside a downtown bar has been jailed 60 days. Judge Ted Collins said, “Racially motivated attacks, even verbal attacks are to be treated more seriously than others.” Cunis Peters, 23, who had pleaded guilty to causing a disturbance, cried “Oh my God,” and covered his face with his hands when the sentence was passed. “Tm going to lose’ my job,” he said as he was led out of court. “Civilized society will not put up with this kind of nonsense,” added Collins.
