NEW DELHI (PTI): Indian Ambassador to the United States Siddhartha Shankar Ray held consultations in New Delhi on Dec.2 on irritants developing in the Indo U.S. Ties involving the Kashmir issue. Ray arrived here within days of his meeting with U.S. secretary of state Warren Christopher in Washington. A senior U.S. official’s remark questioning Kashmir’s accession to India and the Clinton administration’s decision to seek annulment of the Pressler Amendment apparently to resume military and economic aid to Pakistan are viewed with serious concern here. During his stay here, the foreign office is expected to review comprehensively the Indo U.S. relations in the light of recent developments.
