BOMBAY: Vishva Hindu Parishad secretary-general Ashok Singhal expressed fear here that Indian government might deploy army at Ayodhia to foil V.HLP. Led campaign to demolish Babn mosque there and lo build Ram temple in its place.
He told Marathi journalists that certain Congress (I) had met union home minister S .B. Chavan to plead for the army’s deployment. He described the move as unwarranted because it ran counter to the mandate to the B.J.P, to build the proposed temple.
Singhal sand that the work on the temple would begin “within 80 days” and that the Bajrang Dal had started a yagna at Ayodhia last week.
