JAMMU: District magistrate of Jammu, winter capital of the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, Parvez Dewan has ordered restriction of movement of any person or persons during night hours in areas near the Indo Pak border.
An order to this effect was issued under section 144 CR. P.C, and will remain in force for two months.
However, under exceptional circumstances, where the nearest station house officer (SHO) of the police/post commander of BSF border outpost is satisfied that it is essential for any person or persons to be allowed to move about during curfew hours to seek urgent medical aid or undertake threshing Operations, it may be permit ted by issuing curfew passes.
