LOS GATOS, CA: The Senator was speaking at a fundraising dinner hosted by Sajid Sohail, Director of Systems Design at C Cube Microsystems at his Pleasanton residence. In response to a question the Senator expressed disappointment over India’s backing out of the CTBT which has created legal technical complications and has eventually put the whole treaty in limbo. It may be noted that diplomats have been working for 40 years to achieve a total nuclear test ban treaty and with the negotiations near agreement on almost all important issues, this backing out by India resulted in missing this historic opportunity which is a big blow to the United States as well as to world peace.
