SRINAGAR: The Advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor, R.K. Saiyed has requested the Central Haj Committee to increase the haj quota to Jammu and Kashmir by 10% of 2,458 seats.
Returning here after attending the committee’s meeting at New Delhi recently, Saiyed informed that it had approved the action plan for haj97 and also necessary instructions to all the authorities concerned had been issued. The advisor said 108 haj cases are pending since 1981 before the Committee, which has been urged for quick settlement.
