CHANDIGARH: The ant repression action committee is going ahead in giving an action program against state repression irrespective of the directive issued by the Panthic committee (Dr. Sohan Singh) to dissolve it.

The committee is likely to meet sometime next week to finalize the action program and discuss the directive; the decision of the stale government to ban last month’s ant repression rally would also be discussed.

Though the state govt had announced that it had only changed the venue of the rally but people were practically prevented from going to the new venue.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Pandhak Committee president, Baldey Singh Sibia, who is also the convener of this committee, is learnt to be credited with the view that the letter of the Panthic committee is aims chief by certain elements who do not want mobilization of the people against state repression.

However, the Panthic committee has not dissociated itself from the letter which was Akali factions, human rights organizations and Bharti Kisan Union.

It is the BKU which is emerging as the main driving force behind this committee. Even for the Ludhiana rally the maximum spade work was done by the BKU.
