CHANDIGARH: Protection and ban go hand in hand in Chandigarh as far as the RSS is concerned.
Despite the Center banning the RSS a CRPF picket continues to guard Keshav Niwas RSS office here.
The picket was set up following threats by the Punjab militants. However although the RSS claims to have shifted its office from there following the ban the police have Carried out searches there.
Also the former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and RSS leader J.V.Gupta has also been given security He was initially offered a picket also which he refused.
