SRINAGAR: National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah on June 22nd, lashed out at New Delhi for not conceding Kashmiris* demand of “restoration of autonomy.”
“Once again tune is running out,” he told Harkishen Singh Surjeet, veteran CPI (M) leader during the all-party meet here Saturday, “The Center has never heeded our demands and now despite your party (CPIM) coining into power, we still can’t trust Delhi.” Abdullah said that once Delhi announced restoration of pre1952 constitutional position for Jammu and Kashmir, a wind of change will sweep the Valley. The National Conference leader asked the Center to expedite investigations into hawala links of Kashmiri separatist leaders. “Once their involvement is proven, they (separatist leaders) will be forced to wind up their show in Kashmir.”
