SRINAGAR (PTI): Thirteen people including seven top militants were killed and 30 subversives nabbed by the security forces in the valley of northern Indian state of Kashmir since Dec.15.
Students and teachers of Kashmir University held a demonstration in the campus Dec. 16 against the alleged harassment of Kashmiris in various parts of the country.
The Bhartiya Janata Party flag was set on fire at Sopore Chowk in North Kashmir. Shops and business establishment remained closed in Sopore Baramulla Pattan in North Kashmir.

B.S.Bedi director general of the state police told PTI Wednesday that seven militants were killed and 25 others with arms and ammunition arrested.
Giving details of the incidents he said six militants including the military advisor-cum-acting chief of Al-Umer commandoes Riyaz Ahmad Khan alias “Bita Khan” and top militants of Hizbul Mujahedeen were killed during search operations in Srinagar.
