NEW DELHI (PTI): The Indian airlines operations remained disrupted Dec.11 as the indefinite strike by the 475-member Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) in support of their demands entered the second day.
While the management said 25 non-executive pilots had joined duty—11 Friday and 14 Thursday the ICPA spokesman said 17 of these pilots were not their members
An IA spokesman said with the availability of these 25 non-executive pilots they would be able to introduce additional flights. The ICPA spokesman said the strike would continue till demands were met. The dispute between them and the management should be referred to a three-member arbitrator. It should have one be member each from the management and the ICPA and the third be nominated by the labor commissioner. The ICPA spokesman challenged the management’s claim of flight operations and said that “it is highly exaggerated.
