Conclusion
(Obesity is the root cause of many diseases such as high blood pressure and other heart related diseases)
Finally all the superstitions about the purity and impurity of foods have been removed by Guru Nanak by saying:
“All the impurities of foods and of untouchability
are nothing but superstitions.
Birth and death are due to the
laws of the Almighty.
All the edibles are pure
because all of them were created
by Him.
Nanak says for those Gurmukhs
(followers of Gurbani)
who understood the above facts
there is nothing impure for them.
(AGGS M 1 p.472)
The above discussion leads us to the conclusion that The Sikh Gurus made the people aware of the fact that it is very difficult to distinguish between a plant and an animal therefore it is difficult to distinguish between a vegetarian and non-vegetarian diets and there is no sin of eating food originating from plants or animals One has to find oneself or through the help of food specialists and doctors to find a perfect food to keep one’s body physically fit and mentally sound to lead a perfect life.
