CHICAGO IL: Sikh Religious Society of Chicago members donated much needed blood to the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine at Chicago Blood Bank to kick off their annual series of Thanksgiving events. The blood donation was carried out on Nov.1592 at the langar hall of the Gurudwara in Palatine IL with the help of U.L.C hospital technicians between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. over 60 Sikh donors volunteered.

This Thanksgiving event was sponsored by Sikh student’s society of University of Illinois and coordinated by Irwin Preet Singh Mohinderjit Singh Saini and Rajinder Singh Mago.

“This humanitarian effort coincided with the 523rd birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak the founder of Sikhism who preached Sarbat Ka Bhala meaning well-being for all mankind” said Gurdip Singh Sangha the S.R.S President
