MALIREX: A final contract to build an $840 million bridge to the Prince Edward Island ‘IS Set t0 be signed Oct.7 P.C.1. Ottawa has claimed that the private “company Selected to build the bridge will have to finance the project on his own, In return, the builders gets to operate the bridge and charge trails of 35 years. Ottawa will also pay a subsidy of $42 million a year. At the same time, the New Brunswick government “announced it is creating a crown corporation to raise $660 million of the money needed to build the bridge by selling bonds backed by the federal government.
