NEW DELHI(PTI): Party mails agers are working overtime to coin new slogans and plan high-tech publicity blitz as a frenetic activities are on to finalize the list of nominees for the coming assembly polls in five Indian states and the Indian capital, Delhi.

The Ruling Congress I, a major player in the next month’s elections, will embark on a positive media campaign to reach out to the people.

“This time the campaign will be Positive rather than negative,” party sources said, adding the stress will be on Stability and achievements of the Narasimha Rao government.

Video cassettes will be distributed among candidates to drive home the party’s message,

Meantime, leaders of major political parties are engaged in hectic consultations to finalize the list of candidates for 1123 constituencies spread over Delhi, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The Delhi unit of the Opposition Janata Party released five more names Oct.10. The first ever polls in Delhi on Nov.6 will Witness a One-to-one fight between the ruling Congress} and the major op Position Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), elections were held in 1983.
