Sir,
We have in the past fully supported your newspaper and will continue to do so in the future however our views on one of the published articles is made in the following text.
“We read an article dated Sept.251992 in the Punjabi Section on Page 11 published by your newspaper on Prof. Darshan Singh Ji and were horrified by its contents
As much as we would like to we are not going to argue or discuss the subject matter at this point of time but we certainly take exception to the language and the tone that has been used. It is not befitting of Sikhs to be arrogant or disrespectful to anyone leave alone a prominent figure like Prof Sahib who at one time was the head of the Akal Takht the highest seat of our religious political hierarchy.
We feel that the article was in very poor taste and certainly did not match up to the journalistic standards of your publication.
While we regret that this article could ever be put into print we sincerely hope that diligence is exercised in future so that your newspaper could continue to enjoy the high respect and esteem of its readers.”
