JALANDHAR: Babbar Khalsa International has condemned Akali Dals for their double faced policies. In a nine page statement issued here the B.K.I. has said that these parties are not serious about their resolution in favor of Khalistan. They are content to raise the so called Punjab problem and seek to oust the Beant Singh government.
The B.K.I at the same time has appealed to all militant organizations to encourage a united front of all those groups and elements that are willing to run a mass movement to supplement the armed movement. Signed by Bhai Wadhawa Singh and Bhai Kulwant Singh the statement has regretted that the mass movement is lagging although much headway has been made in the armed movement. The B.K.I noted that six panthic organizations issued certain slogans but the net effect has been that the Sikh masses have been misled and the aim has been to project the leadership of certain persons. Referring to the formation of the 31 member anti repression committee by the six panthic organizations the B.K.I has said that Simranjit Singh Mann’s role in this committee has been negative. Mann has emerged as a leadership hungry politician who was not keen on attending the meetings of the committee. The B.K.I has taken serious notice of the manner in which Mann has been trying to project himself as leader.
The aim behind forming a front of six panthic organizations itself was doubtful. Instead of taking all the groups in the front Mann left out certain groups. He submitted a memorandum to United Nations secretary general on his party’s letter pad and ignored other groups and their leaders. On the question of resignations by panchayats Mann introduced certain terms without consulting anyone else and encouraged the panchayats to send these letters to the office of the Mann Akali Dal. Later these leaders ran a public campaign against each other in which Manjit Singh too played a role. The Babbar Khalsa International further noted that the real aim of boycotting the election was to make a beginning towards rejection of Indias Constitution but certain Akali leaders gave a new twist to the boycott movement when they said that this had been done to protest against India’s failure to give Punjab a “package.” The Akalis never explained the meaning of a Sikh raj about which they gave a slogan. They also failed to issue any follow up action on the slogan. These leaders never issued any bandh call for the withdrawal of Indian forces from the soil of Khalistan.
The sooner the Sikhs get rid of these Akali leaders the better for the panth. The B.K.I. will support only those groups which stand and fight for Khalistan.
