NEW DELHI: A group called the “Gujjar Commando Force’ has Claimed responsibility for a bomb blast in the Delhi High Court on Aug.30. The group has demanded for the creation “Gujjarsthan” comprising parts of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The explosion, said to have been Caused by a crude device, occurred around 11:30 am when the High Court was abuzz with activity, The damage was confined to the toilet Which was empty when the *bomb* Went off, But as panic gripped lawyers and litigants, the police acted swiftly and made people vacate the building, Area Assistant Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar said they recovered a letter from the site, Signed by the *“Gujjar Commando Force.’ The handwritten letter, apart from carrying threats of targeting some important offices and buildings and people in high positions next, contained a demand for the creation of a ‘Gujjarsthan’ comprising parts of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. According to the ACP, police recovered a similar letter from Palika Bazar after a cracker burst there. But the earlier letter contained no demand or threat.
