SHIMLA: Punjab police Chief K.P.S Gill has purchased five bighas of land for Rs 50000 at Maduli in Rampur sub-tehsil of Nalagarh presumably to serve as place of rest after he retires this year. The seller is a small farmer Fanguram son of Daulat Ram. Although no non Himachal and non-farmer citizen can purchase land in Himachal Pradesh rules were relaxed for Gill by the B.J.P. Government of that state. Police officers posted in Punjab evidently do not find themselves safe to settle in the state after retirement.
