CHANDIGARH: Punjab Minister of State for Legal and Legislative Affairs Karam Singh Gill died here June 8 following a massive heart attack He was 52. Gill had gone to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research here that MOM for a routine checkup, where he fered the fatal heart attack. He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters. The cremation took place on Sunday at Khanna in Ludhiana district.
Born at Khanna on September 23, 1943, Gill was first elected to the Vidhan Sabha in 1980 from Samrala; He was reelected from the same constituency in 1992.
He remained Minister of State for Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Industries in the Beant Singh ministry. Later he was inducted as Minister of State in the Harcharan Singh Brar ministry.
