ISLAMABAD (PTI): A conference of major opposition parties of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) Sunday resolved to carry on with the decision to cross the line of control on October 24 even if the top leaders were arrested by Pakistan government in a bid to stop the marchers.

We have four lines of leadership and there will be people to lead the marchers even if some leaders are taken into custody. The program will go on,” the four party Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Alliance (JKDA) chairman, Sardar Mohammad Ibrahim Khan told newsmen here after attending the All Parties Conference (APC).

As many as 36 political parties of POK have supported the call given by JKDA, including the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (KLF), which had made two attempts to move across the LOC in February and March this year.

While the ruling Muslim conference led by POK premier, Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan has decided against joining the October 24 plan, the POK chapter of Jamaat-Islami has extended support but declined to participate in the “Zerbe Haider’ as it was an “unarmed” program.
