JAMMU: The Amy authorities have refuted “as outrageous false-hood” the reports in & section of the Press of the gang rape by the Army personnel in Shupian village in Kashmir Valley on October 14.

It was an outrageous falsehood and concoction dished out by the militants, as a part of concerted effort by them to malign the security forces and the Army, in particular,” a defence spokesman said on Oct.20.

Giving factual details of the incident, the spokesman said that search of seven houses in village Chak Saidpur was carried out on the night of October 10 last to apprehend a wanted militant, Bashir, who lived in) and responsible person, belong to this village, Was with search party comprising  Senior JCO and three jawans.
