Dear Editor, I want to draw the attention of the Sikhs in general and the Sikh Guru Ghars in particular, that the martyrdom anniversaries of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and 700 Sikhs (butchered from March 514, 1716, who laid down their lives for the cause of Sikhs, 10 establish Khalsa Raj (Khalistan) ‘are not celebrated anywhere? While they were butchered, everyone was given temptations of many kinds but not oven a single Sikh is yielded or denoted from the path of Sikhism, We fro very ungrateful (Akarilghan) who have forgotten their sacrifices and obligation of our ancestors, We arc winning the cheap popularity by celebrating the anniversaries, the present martyrs.
Who does not know? That how Banda Singh gave punishments to all the deserving enemies of the Sikhs who made atrocities and cruelties on the Sikhs during the period of Guru Gobind Singh ji. Guru Ji sent Banda ‘Singh for this purpose. He did according to the wishes of Guru Ji. He sacrificed his life and his child’s life for the sake of Sikh nation. Although he was subjected to many tortures at the time of death, He remained clam; he knew that nobody had the power to kill him, ‘without the wishes of Guru. In Mehma. Parkash it is written Banda said so “what power had anyone to kill me, the order of the true Guru was contravened by me and this is punishment for that.”
The coins he issued show his gratefulness to the Guru, “It is the sword of Guru Nanak Sahib, which has its sway on both the worlds, and victory belongs to Guru Gobind Singh. Who is king of all the kings and is the True Master.” The seed which Guru Gobind Singh had sown by diverting the Sikhs from the plough to sword was reaped by Banda Singh. Guru Ji sponsored certain doctrine and Banda Singh acted upon them and showed the Sikh way. To freedom. It was he, who in the history of India was the first to disband the jimdaria system and distributed the land among the ploughers’ (Halwahik) and established Khalsa kingdom and which coins in the name, the Guru.
Khushwant Singh wrote “He renounced both pacification and life of solitude to rouse. A down trodden peasantry to take up arms, a man who shook one of the most powerful empires in the world to its very foundations with such violence that it was never able to reestablish its authority. “According to Teja Singh and Ganda Singh “It was the path shown by Bada Bahador which bet the people of the Punjab to freedom. He was the first man who administered a severe blow to the great Mughal Empire and removed the fore most obstacles in the establishment of a Sikh government in the Province of Punjab.”
Guru Gobind Singh ji founded Khalsa Panth to protect and save Hindus from the atrocities of the Mughals Baba Banda Singh filled the foundation of the Khalsa Raj with the bones and flood. Sikh Missals further erected walls of Khalsa Raj with their bones and flood as in Ghalooghara. Maha Raja Ranjit Singh put roof on the palace of Khalsa Raj and reigned for 50 years.
