CHANDIGARH: The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has welcomed the declarations made by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) at its ‘7Sthanniversary celebrations at Moga.
Describing the declarations as “historic,” the president of the unit, Mr. Balramji Dass Tandon, said in a statement here last week that it was “heartening” to note the party’s stand that it firmly stood for Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabi at.
The party, he said, has also made it Clear that it stood for Hindu Sikh unity and for preserving peace in the state.
Mr, Tandon said that the bold and heartening declaration would be welcomed by all political parties in the state besides.
