BOMBAY (PTI): Big Bull Harshad Mehta, implicated for an alleged violation of Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (FERA), was on Sept8 ordered to be released on a conditional bail by a metropolitan court. He would have to remain within the confines of the By culla jail here pending completion of formalities.
In his order, the additional chief metropolitan magistrate, V.V. Bels are said Mehta be released on a bail of Rs 7.50 lakh with one surety of like amount or furnish cash bail deposit of Rs five lakh,
If not released on bail, Mehta should be in judicial custody in Byculla jail till September 15, Bels are said while rejecting the application by the enforcement seeking further remand till Sept.23.
