CHANDIGARH: Four militants were killed and an equal number were arrested in Punjab in the past 24 hours.
Security forces gunned down two, militants, identified as Charan Singh and Charanjit Singh to an encounter near Gurusar village in’ Jagraon police district (Ludhiana) on Aug29. In another encounter, in the same police district, two more militants identified as Avtar Singh and Darshan Singh were shot dead by security forces near Sidhwankalan village.
Jagraon Police Chief H,S.Chahal said the four militants were close associates of Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) militant Kuldeep Singh Keepa.
