NEW DELHI: On Aug.30, a low intensity explosion in a toilet on the second floor of the Delhi High Court building brought all work in the courts to an abrupt halt. There was no loss of life or injury.
The explosion, said to have been caused by a crude device, occurred around 11:30a.m. when the High Court was abuzz with activity, The damage was confined to the toilet which was empty when the ‘bomb’ went off. But as panic gripped lawyers and litigants, the police acted swiftly and made people vacate the building,
Area Assistant Commissioner of Police Alok Kumar said they recovered a letter from the site, signed by a group claiming to be the Gujjar Commando Force.
