PORONTO: Ontario MP’s will take a 5.5% pay cut to help fight the provincial deficit, MP’s face a minimum Wage Cut Of $3,300 a year in 1994, but not all allowances are covered and the cutback won’t Kick in completely Until next year, Ontario’s premier Bob Rae said that all MP’s would share the pain in his plan to cut the deficit. Rae’s earnings will drop from $113,320 last year to $109,360 this year and $107,095 in 1994. One major union said that Rae is trying to look good while protecting MPP’s bank accounts.
