COLOMBO (PTI):Nine Sri Lankans trying to cross over to LTTE-controlled Jaffna were killed when their boat was fired at by the army in the Kilali lagoon on July 30, reports said.
The Joint Operations Command (JOC) said it had no information of the incident, in which eight others were injured.
The Kilali lagoon has been declared a “no go zone” by the Sri Lankan army with a warning that voters could be shot at.
