FORONTO: The NDP government decided under a new bill that accident victims will receive more in replacement income and other benefits under the no fault System But the insurance industry will charge higher premiums to compensate for the cost of paying out enhanced benefits. For the first time, Ontario will charge 5% Sales tax on autos.
