WASHINGTON,DC: The International Human Rights Organization North America is releasing a report on the human rights violations under the governorship of Siddhartha Shankar Ray, the current Indian Ambassador to U.S.

This report, titled “Human Rights violations under Siddhartha Shankar Ray (current Indian Ambassador to U.S,),” highlights the torture and detention of men and women, disappearances, misuse of draconian laws, harassment of population and extrajudicial killings. This report covers the time period of 19861989 when Ray was the Punjab governor. This report will be released on July 30,1993 at the National Press club. According to IHRO officials, this report will have a major impact on the functioning of Indian officials in the political atmosphere in Washington.
